"Thanks to Debbie's encouragement and advice I'm always pleased with what I create in class. I learn something new every time and feel challenged, in a good way." Kate H
ABOUT
For as long as I can remember, I have enjoyed the creative things in life.
Having successfully completed a degree in art and dance some years ago and later, a qualification in education and teaching, I now enjoy combining my work as an artist and teaching art to others. I still dance whenever I can too!
Over several years I have put a lot of thought into developing a range of art and craft courses and workshops for adults and children to enjoy and currently, I offer a variety of classes from collage to watercolour, acrylics to mixed media. I’m often thinking about new creative ideas for workshops too so always check what’s coming up! I even taught online during the Covid 19 lockdown period; therapeutic drawing and painting classes to a group with the mental health organization Mind.
I am inspired by the natural world and love being immersed in nature, so always find time to paint en plein air. Art continues to be magical and therapeutic and sometimes challenging, it’s all part of the journey.
I am proud to be a member of the West Sussex Art Society - where I was voted Winner of the Public Vote Overall Art in their 2025 Art Exhibition! - Shoreham Art Gallery and the Brighton Painting Group.
